This DIY ScI kit is no one trick pony, but rather contains a “grab bag” of cool science items and things you might be able to use to make your time with our interactive labs a little more fun and the rest is stuff your kids can use at home if they want to experiment and take things further. They don’t NEED the kit to do our weekly stream interactive lessons but we’ll be incorporating the items if you have them and the kids love to use them!

YOUR DIY SCI KIT INCLUDES:

• Red laser (for light & color experiments)

• Small baggie of Gallium (a metal that melts in your hand!)

• Iron filings (for magnetic field experiments and separation/extraction experiments)

• 1 Petri dish

• 2 small neodymium magnets

• 2 standard magnets

• 1 OTB Labs sticker

• Eppendorf test tubes (to store DNA or other samples…and just for fun!)

• 2 small test tubes/screw cap tubes

• Sheet of quality filter paper

• 1 parafilm wax strip (good sealant)

• 1 strand copper wire (for making motors and doing all sorts of other experiments)

• Square of Transparency Film

• Clear Tubing

• 1 sterile dropper
