An Electricity and Energy “In-House” Field Trip

Held at @ the 127 Ligonier St, New Florence, PA 15944 location

Elementary Students:

We will investigate the basics of electricity by learning how electrical charges are generated and what happens at the atomic level when electric charges are generated. We will then apply these ideas by using electrical fields to move objects, bend water and to shock each other with a 10,000 volt spark!

Middle School and High School Students:

We will bring together elements of chemistry, biology and physics to understand how our bodies and brains generate and use electricity. We look into the electrochemistry of the nervous system and apply the concepts by using the electrical signals from our brains to control the movements of another classmate.
